2011 will be the 75th anniversary of the Cotton Bowl. There will be a few things that are going to make this a very special event.

2011 game will be the 75th anniversary of the Cotton Bowl. With that, there is going to be a few things that are going to make this a very special event. First, The game date will be changed to Friday, January 7th. Second, they will be honoring the many of the past great players and coaches during the halftime. Third, the game will be a 7:00 PM kick-off on FOX Sports. This will be the only game on this day and kick off the BCS weekend.
This will offer marching bands a great opportunity to perform at a major college bowl game, featuring teams from the SEC and the Big 12 Conferences and still offer them the chance to enjoy the game as well.
